The Bendigo Sustainability Festival is on again on March 26.

As well as more than 40 stall holders, special guest Sophie Thomson, from ABC’s Gardening Australia, will share her passion for sustainable gardening. Through her writing, TV appearances and as a sought-after guest speaker, Sophie has inspired people throughout Australia to venture outside and try their hand at gardening.

“I believe gardening provides some of the solutions to life’s challenges,” Sophie said.

“It reduces stress, teaches us resilience, care of our environment and gives us great pleasure and rewards when we see what we can achieve through our endeavours.”

Sophie will be joined by Natalie Isaacs, founder and CEO of 1 Million Women, one of Australia’s largest networks acting on climate change.

Meet community groups such as Landcare, Field Naturalists, Zonta and the CWA. RACV Solar will answer all of your questions about solar energy. Enjoy music from Grim Fawkner and the Gorgeous Voices choir, get some yummy treats from the Gelato Bike, Konjo Mama or a simple snag from Rotary and free water from festival sponsor Coliban Water.

Visitors to the festival can browse stalls selling everything from garden tools to recycled and sustainable products. Many exhibitors are sole producers who make colourful and innovative products with interesting stories to tell.

Come along and enjoy a day out while enjoying the benefits of sustainability.
