This autumn, the Pyrenees will come alive with an exciting series of outdoor events.
Play in the Pyrenees includes a raft of outdoor events and adventures. In Avoca on Saturday April 22 join the celebrations as local winemakers mark the end of vintage on the banks of the Avoca River. Pyrenees Unearthed is a wine and food festival where the best of the region’s winemakers pour their latest and favourite wines all day long with plenty of great plates from a curated collection of food trucks. Together with bands, children’s activities and non-alcoholic drinks, this is a popular day for families.
That art of playfulness continues at the Avoca Art Show, also on April 22 and 23. The art show will feature over 150 works of art by local and regional artists and offers a welcoming space for everybody to enjoy art in a curated exhibition program.
In Beaufort you will find a Car and Truck Show on March 5. This popular event consists of live music, food stands, wood chopping, shearing competition and of course the restored vehicles specially prepared for show and shine.
Beaufort is back on show with the Beaufort Agricultural Show on March 19. The traditional country show reflects old fashioned country values and highlights include horse show, dog races, pet show, art and craft, cookery, woodchopping and more.
