As we enter the warmer months, the Loddon Valley comes to life with its natural wonders, waterways, historical sights and unique attractions.
At Kooyoora State Park is the perfect spot for nature lovers to camp and explore the surrounding towns.
Inglewood is a mecca for collectors, with eclectic stores offering vintage clothing, books, toys, tools, porcelain, art and much more. Learn about the history of Australia’s eucalyptus oil industry at Inglewood’s Eucalyptus Distillery Museum and just down the road at Wedderburn.
As well as a display of local art, Wedderburn’s Coach House Gallery and Museum serves as a window into the past with its century-old, tightly-stocked grocery store, untouched by time. The town also features the wonderful Birds Eye View murals, depicting the rare and endangered birds local to the area.
In Boort, walk around the green shores of Little Lake Boort with its sculpture trail, boardwalks and rich birdlife. Take a drive out to the Star Spanner Sculpture Gardens on the outskirts of Boort, where you will find incredible sculptures made from antique spanners crafted by the late John Piccoli.
