Experience the quality, fun and intimacy of the third oldest folk festival in Australia. The festival not only presents an amazing musical line-up, it offers beautiful surroundings, friendly people and an incredible history.
The Maldon Folk Festival is a small and intimate festival. Venues allow audience members to get close up to the artists during their concert performances, and the small, historic, national trust classified township provides an atmospheric backdrop to the concerts, masterclasses, dances, sessions and buskers. The local community who welcome festival-visitors with open arms.
Gina Jeffreys, multiple golden guitar winner, performed at the festival in 2019. Gina had nothing but praise for her experience throughout the weekend.
“To me, the Maldon Folk Festival is a music festival that everyone should put on their bucket list,” Gina said.
“It is like no other I have ever been to. It’s small enough to feel like you can meet every person there and almost feel like a part of a folk music loving family, but big enough to offer every style of music underneath the folk genre umbrella. There is no way you will get to see every single thing you want to see because there is just so much brilliant entertainment jam packed in to this fabulous long weekend.”
