Workshops on driving change
Following a series of successful community events across the Loddon Mallee region, including Maryborough, locals are being invited to take the next step in driving positive change through the Expand Your Impact workshop series.
This final round of workshops for 2024 offers residents the opportunity to build on the momentum generated from recent events and further develop their ideas to strengthen their communities.
Starting on Thursday, October 24, the workshops will run over three consecutive weeks, from 12 to 2 pm. These interactive sessions are designed for anyone looking to make a difference — whether it’s in their community, workplace, or personal projects.
The Expand Your Impact workshops are free to attend and open to all residents of the Loddon Mallee region. Participants will gain the tools and skills necessary to bring their ideas to life or advance current projects.
The workshops focus on key topics such as clarifying visions, moving from ideation to project growth, and building teams that can help drive success.
With a strong emphasis on collaboration, participants will have the chance to connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for creating positive change.
These workshops provide a unique space where people can contribute their own expertise, ideas, and energy to help one another achieve their goals.
One such participant, Emma Solomano from Rochester, is working on establishing a Library of Things in her local community, a project aimed at reducing resource use and promoting community collaboration.
“The Expand Your Impact program provided a focused and supportive environment for participants to plan and work on projects that we are driving,” Emma said.
“I particularly enjoyed the immediate feedback to my ideas and questions from the facilitators and other participants. It was inspiring to see so many people passionate about their communities and driven to develop projects that will make a real difference.”
Emma is continuing to develop her project and is reaching out to local councils, community groups, and individuals to bring her idea to life.
Spaces for the workshops are limited, and this is the last opportunity to join the Expand Your Impact workshops in 2024.
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the final months of the year to turn their ideas into action and make a lasting impact in their communities.
