In a common theme for the season up to this point, cricket was once again washed out on Saturday afternoon, with persistent rain throughout the morning rendering grounds unplayable.
Frustratingly for teams, the conditions were able to clear up for a period of time before Saturday night’s big storm.
Only one A grade game was affected, with Laanecoorie Dunolly’s match with Maryborough called off, while Colts Phelans and Beaufort are due to play on Sunday afternoon.
In A reserve, all teams were unable to play, however, Carisbrook were the only team who were able to take full points as Laanecoorie Dunolly forfeited their team prior to Saturday.
Fortunately for the Red House Bakery 16 and under competition, the Energy Breakthrough meant that their competition was not affected, with their league set to resume on Saturday.
