A page on the Pyrenees Shire website is now available, highlighting financial, mental health, and on-farm technical supports across a variety of organisations.

Support services include:

  • Rural Financial Counselling Service

  • RuralAid

  • The National Centre for Farmer Health

  • Agriculture Victoria’s dry seasons and drought support information

  • Agriculture Victoria’s technical and decision-making support program

  • Farm Household Allowance

  • Farm Business Resilient Program

Information is also available on the latest On-Farm Drought Infrastructure Grants and available Emergency Services and Volunteers Fund (ESVF) rebates, news and Frequently Asked Questions.

Pyrenees Shire mayor Tanya Kehoe said it was decided to combine information about the ESVF with drought support resources to provide residents with readily available help online.

“We know our communities are doing it really tough and we wanted to give them as much support as possible,” she said.

“We think having information at your fingertips without having to search for it will be invaluable for our residents, and particularly our farmers who are facing yet another natural disaster.”
