Weather cans A grade cricket
Friday’s wet and wild weather brought about a cancellation of both of Saturday’s A grade cricket games.
That came despite splendid Saturday sunshine, however, a decision was made early on Saturday morning.
Both the Clunes v Colts Phelans game and Carisbrook v Laane-coorie Dunolly game were washed out, however, there was still cricket played on Saturday, with three of the four games in A reserve successfully played, apart from MKM’s match against Beaufort, which was washed out.
Each A grade team apart from Beaufort, who had the bye, received three premiership points apiece.
A grade cricket is set to resume next week, with Beaufort hosting Carisbrook at Goldfields Reserve and Laanecoorie Dunolly finally getting their season underway as they host Colts Phelans.
