Triathlon returns this weekend
The Maryborough and District Triathlon Club will host its first event of 2026 this weekend, inviting all residents to partake in a fun physical activity individually or with friends.
An extended triathlon will be held at the Maryborough Sports and Leisure Centre on Sunday, February 8. Course distances will be a 400 m swim, 20 km ride, and 4 km run for the long course and a 200 m swim, 8 km ride, and 2 km run for the short course.
With many local athletes currently participating in pre-season training for winter sport seasons that are fast approaching, the club invites all experienced and budding triathletes to join in and participate, either as individuals or as a team.
Registrations commence at the Maryborough Sports and Leisure Centre from 9.00 am for a 9.30 am race start.
