Trentham thunder home with 160-point win over Creek
Eight goals from MCDFNL leading goalkicker James Regan empowered Trentham to recover from a first-quarter scare and defeat Campbells Creek by 160 points.

With the Saints currently tied with numerous teams at the top of the table, the hosts entered this match hoping for a percentage booster ahead of their match against Harcourt in round eight.
However, after their admirable fourth-quarter display against Carisbrook in round six, Campbells Creek came out swinging in the first quarter.
Goals from Lachlan Hyland, Justin Garipoli and Harley Young caught the Saints off guard, with the Magpies trailing by just nine points at quarter time.
Even with the early lead, Trentham didn’t have a firm grasp on the contest yet but started to do so in the second quarter.
The hosts kept Campbells Creek scoreless in the second term while kicking 5.2 to increase their advantage to 41 points to end the first half.
Re-energized by the half time break, the Saints marched their way to 10 unanswered goals to start the second half, ballooning the margin past three figures by three-quarter time.
Campbells Creek did get back on the scoreboard with two behinds in the final term, but the Saints remained relentless as they wrapped up the four points with nine fourth-quarter goals.
Regan, Edward Fanning and Joel Dovaston were unstoppable at Trentham Reserve, with the trio combining for 18 of the Saints 28 goals, all earning a spot in Trentham’s best players. They were joined by Taylor Ford, Alister Ferrier and Mark Strickland.
Magpies’ captain Kyle Gellatly led by example on Saturday, named as the team’s best player along with goal scorer Hyland, Dylan Stevens, Jamie Benbow, Thomas and Mitchell Langley.
