DUNOLLY (28) def by TRENTHAM (30)

Much like their football counterparts, Trentham’s netballers utilised a third-quarter run to take victory against Dunolly — but only after surviving a final-quarter charge from the Eagles.

It was a tight encounter throughout, with neither team able to break away in the first quarter, as scores were locked at eight apiece.

Dunolly made their move in the second quarter, scoring 10 goals to seven to move three goals clear at the main break.

But Trentham, looking for a fourth-consecutive win, scored 11 goals to just three in the third quarter, as the Saints turned the game around to lead by five goals at the last change.

The Saints scored four goals in the last, while Dunolly, looking to pinch the game back, scored seven goals, but fell short by just two goals.

Both teams were willing to share the load inside the goal circle, with Trentham spreading their goals equally between Sharna Ford and Hayley Bourke, who scored 15 each.

Dunolly had Samantha Cheetham score 16 goals, while Zoe Aldridge added 12.
