Natte almost produced a miracle comeback to beat Trentham, but ultimately fell one goal short as the Saints kept in touch with the top two.
The Saints made an outstanding start to jump the Swans, kicking five goals to one in the first term to take a 26-point lead into the first change.
It was a tight second quarter, but any questions the Swans had were immediately answered by Trentham. Both teams kicked three goals apiece for the term as the margin remained at 26 points.
The first hint of a Swans resurgence came in the third quarter, as they kicked three goals to two to reduce the margin slightly to 19 points.
However, it was the last term where the Swans played their best football. They were able to kick three goals, while Trentham only added one, but that one was enough to see them hold on for a momentous win.
Harrison Knight, Nathan Rodgers, Taylor Ford, Alister Ferrier, Christopher Whelan and Joel Cowan were named in the best for Trentham, with Jake Keogh, Dylan Holden and Cowan kicking two goals apiece.
For Natte, Jordan Fraser, with his three goals, Austin McKenzie, Brayden Mills, Brady Templeton, Toby Beavis and Jye Mortlock — who led the way with four goals — were all in their best players.
