It was a tough day for the Carisbrook Lady Redbacks as they were unable to make an impact against an East Point team who were determined to bounce back, winning by 121 points.

A six-goal to zero opening quarter set East Point on their way as they were able to establish a 39-point break after the opening change.

To Carisbrook’s credit, they were able to stop the bleeding a little bit in the second quarter, conceding two goals from 10 scoring shots, but it still wasn’t enough to stop East Point from taking a 59-point cushion into the long break.

Three more goals from East Point in the third quarter saw them take an 82-point lead into the final change, before six final-quarter goals saw them take their win.

While it was a tough day for the Lady Redbacks, eventually going scoreless, they still had their contributors, with Amali Allbutt playing well for a second week in succession, while Zeanna Cassells, Grace Love, Olivia Butler, Danae Every and Jade Cameron were also good contributors.

Carisbrook will be out to bounce back next week when they travel to Darley.
