Lifestyle program Country House Hunters will be scouring the central goldfields throughout the next few months looking for someone’s next home.
Hosted by Catriona Roundtree, the program — which runs in countries throughout the world — works with local real estate agents to match potential buyers with their ideal house.
Ash Doran is a producer with Abode Entertainment, which makes the show that screens on the Nine network. He said the production crew has heard great things about the goldfields region, which was one of the reasons they chose to film here.
“We are currently actively doing our research on the central goldfields and putting it all together,” he said.
“We look for people who want to move into the area so we can help them on their house hunt journey. We base everything off what our featured buyers are looking for and tell the story of why our buyers are moving to the country. We help them on their journey and tell their story.
“We work with real estate agents to find properties that are available for sale and often find our featured buyers via real estate agents.”
Maryborough Ballarat Real Estate’s Kate Ashton is encouraging anyone thinking about buying or selling to contact her if they want to appear on the show.
“We are actively looking for the next TV star,” Kate said.
“It is a natural extension of what we do, helping people find their ideal home.”
Jacinta Clifford from Professionals Real Estate said she was looking forward to working with producers of the show to showcase homes she has available. Both agents are also on the lookout for buyers who might be interested in taking part.
