It was basically one-way traffic as Talbot stormed out of the blocks with a seven-goal opening term while restricting the Giants to just five behinds.

To the Giants credit, they did fight back in the second quarter and outscored Talbot but they still trailed by 33 points at half time.

From this point of the game, it was a runaway second half as Talbot scored 17 more goals to just two majors for the Giants.

Luke Kemp was unstoppable for the Hawks, kicking seven goals while Jarrod Stephens continues to impress in front of goal with six majors. Adam Scott chimed in with five goals.

The only multiple goal scorer for the Giants was Zayne Earl who finished with two goals for the game.

The ruck contest between Michael Sikora and Jack Broad went in favour of Sikora, but Broad held his own against the Talbot big man.

Jayden Hind returned to the Hawks after a recent concussion and was named amongst the better players with Kemp, Scott, Zac Cicchini, Jayson Atkins, and Kirk Lang.

The Giants named Peter Wytkamp, Broad Jude Gourley, Declan Wagstaff, Brock Walker and Cody Wright as their better players.
