Maryborough Rifle Range was the location for the Victorian Fullbore Target Rifle Team’s latest practice session on the weekend, as they prepared for the 2024 national championships in Townsville.
The location was chosen given the similarities between the Mary-borough range and the Townsville range, with both facing south and providing similar light.
Team members were able to experiment as they prepared for next year’s showpiece event, which will see them compete against teams from New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia and the ACT.
Members of the Maryborough Rifle Club also volunteered their time to give assistance throughout the day for operations.
