Central Goldfields Shire residents eager to launch their own startups can get a helping hand through free workshops coming to the region later this year.
The 13-week program comes from Startup Central Victoria and is designed to help residents develop their startup business idea.
The program will begin in July with a 90-minute masterclass each week led by an expert in the region with an emphasis on global markets and technology, but relevant to every sector and type of business.
Program coordinator Kerry Anderson said applications are open now and that places are limited.
“We are looking for applicants aged 18 years or older from across the region that demonstrate passion for their startup idea and commitment to the program,” she said.
Presenters outline a variety of elements including entrepreneur mindset, financial structure, tech data and ethics, branding and marketing, digital marketing, and developing a startup pitch.
By the end of the program participants will have a practical business plan ready to implement and valuable network to support them.
The masterclasses will be held in Bendigo but also livestreamed on Zoom for those in the wider region including the Central Goldfields, Loddon, Mount Alexander, Campaspe and Macedon Ranges.
