The Maryborough Library is now home to a new sports equipment library in time for the school holidays, thanks to a Health Loddon Campaspe initiative.

Suitable to those aged three and up, local kids can borrow skateboards, scooters and safety gear including helmets and elbow and knee pads.

The equipment can be borrowed for free using a library card.

Coordinator of Health Loddon Campaspe Alicia O’Brien said the sports equipment library is a fun way to keep local kids active.

“Healthy Loddon Campaspe is delighted to support the new sports equipment library in Maryborough,” she said.

“Through providing a free opportunity for young people to access skate and other sports equipment, we look forward to seeing even more of the community be

more active more often at the skate park.”

Located at the Library’s front entrance, the sports equipment library is available during library opening hours on Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 12 pm.

Those interested are advised to ring ahead on 5461-9111 to check availability.
