The Andrews Labor Govern-ment has announced eligible families can now apply for vouchers of up to $200 for sporting equipment.
Local families can use the voucher for a number of activities in different sports, with equipment, uniforms and memberships offered under the voucher.
Clubs, associations and organisations can also register as a Get Active Kids Voucher activity provider for vouchers to be redeemed.
Member for Ripon Martha Haylett encouraged families to take part in the program.
“The Get Active Kids Voucher Program is a game-changer for families across our region and will keep more children playing the sports they love,” she said.
“No matter what sport you play, the Get Active Kids Voucher Program will make it easier for local families to be involved.”
Eligibility is limited to kids who are 18 and under, who are Victorian residents, named on a valid Commonwealth Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card and named on a valid Medicare Card when applying.
Applications close on May 10.
