Despite getting off to the perfect start, Maryborough were outclassed by Vic Park, losing 9-2 on Sunday.

Maryborough scored the first goal in the seventh minute when Liep Ngim was able to give them the lead.

But their lead would last all of nine minutes as two goals in two minutes shortly after gave Vic Park the lead, before adding to their buffer in the 31st minute.

Brett Davy brought it back to 3-2 in the 34th minute when he was able to score his third goal of the season, but Vic Park did all the running to end the half, scoring twice to give themselves a comfortable 5-2 lead at the break.

Maryborough continued to try to come back, but a four-goal burst in 14 minutes ended any chance they might have had to salvage a result, which resulted in Vic Park winning by seven goals.

Maryborough will now look to bounce back this Sunday at Jubilee Oval when they host top team Vikings.
