Maryborough Little Athletics Club were able to bring home two silver medals from the 2023/24 State Track and Field Championships, held at Knox Park Athletics Centre on the weekend.
Mia Schodde had a superb weekend in the high jump, clearing 1.54 m to finish second in the competition, and earning a silver medal.
Schodde also finished seventh in the long jump, while also recording credible results of 17th in the triple jump, 18th in the 100 m and 20th in the 200 m.
Darcy Thatcher also put in a supreme effort, missing out narrowly on a gold medal by just 0.13 of a second in the 400 m, eventually running 60.95 to take silver.
Thatcher also performed strongly in other running disciplines, finishing fifth in the 100 m and seventh in the 200 m.
Other standout performances across the weekend saw Naomi Henderson finish fourth in the 90 m hurdles and triple jump, Kody Wright finishing sixth in the shot put and ninth in the 400 m and Charlie Sullivan finishing ninth in the 200 m and 400 m.
