After a weekend off, the Saturday pennant returns with eight games set to help shape the division one and two ladders.

Maryborough Golf Blue and Dunolly Gold meet in one of the most important games of the round in division one, with the winner set to assume a spot in the top four. Currently, Dunolly Gold are fourth, but are just two premiership points ahead of Golf Blue.

Top spot could be on the line when Talbot Gold and Dunolly Blue do battle at Talbot Bowls Club. Dunolly Blue currently hold top spot on the ladder, but with Highland Tartan and Talbot Gold 10 and 11 premiership points behind respectively, a loss will see them drop back.

Highland Tartan will be looking to potentially take top spot on the ladder, but it would have to come at the expense of their stablemates at Highland Red.

With just one win between them, Avoca Red and Newstead Blue will be looking to gain confidence on Saturday. A win for Newstead Blue could take them off the bottom of the ladder, but a win for Avoca Red could keep them in finals contention.

In division two, the pick of the games will be Highland White against Talbot Brown.

While Highland White are currently 12 premiership points clear on top of the ladder, a loss to Talbot Brown could see the gap between the top three reduced to just single digits.

Should Highland White lose, Carisbrook will fancy their chances of taking top spot on the ladder as they travel to winless Newstead White.

Meantime, it’s an important game for both Maldon and Avoca Gold, with the winner set to take control of their spot in the top four.

Finally, Maryborough Golf Gold and Dunolly Green do battle, with the winner keeping their finals chances alive.

Midweek pennant was also not played during the week, with their competition set to resume on Tuesday, November 29.
