More Victorians can now receive a one-off $250 payment if they search for a better energy deal through the state’s Energy Compare website, the State Government has announced.

The Power Saving Bonus was introduced on July 1, with a one-off $250 payment available to all Victorian swho use the website — a free and independent online energy price comparison service — to seek out a better energy deal.

Minister for Energy Lily D’Ambrosio announced on Friday last week that the program has now been boosted by a further $205 million.

“Three weeks after launching this bill busting bonus, we are proud to have supported one million Victorian households with their energy bills while helping them find the cheapest deal available,” she said.

“We know Victorian families are doing it tough, so we’re topping up the $250 Power Saving Bonus program to make sure no one misses out.”

To claim the one-off payment visit the Victorian Energy Compare website and compare energy offers.

You are not required to change your energy plan or supplier to receive the payment.

Applications are open now and close on June 30, 2023.
