Three vehicles were impounded in Maryborough on Friday.
A 43-year-old Maryborough woman was intercepted in Kars Street and was processed for driving while unlicensed.
A 21-year-old Maryborough man had his vehicle impounded in relation to hoon driving offences in Gladstone Street on February 22.
A 55-year-old Daisy Hill woman was detected driving whiledisqualified in Daisy Hill.
All three driver’s vehicles were impounded for a period of 30 days.
Central Goldfields Highway Patrol Sergeant Paul Martin said that historically, unauthorised drivers contribute to serious injury and fatal collisions.
“Removing unauthorised and hoon drivers from our roads is a significant priority for police and anybody considering taking that risk can expect to have their vehicle impounded at a cost to them in the order of $1800 in addition to any penalties imposed for driving offences,” he said.
“Impound provisions allow police to immediately disrupt and remove hoon drivers from our roads by removing access to their vehicle for a period of 30 days.”
Hoon driving can be reported directly to police or via Crime Stoppers.
