Ella Patten’s list of burgeoning netball achievements continues to grow, with the young Maryborough star selected to represent the Bendigo Football Netball League’s 17 and under representative team for a second straight season.

Patten was selected in the 15-strong squad last week, which is co-coached by Nicole Donnellon and Sharni McPherson, and continues a strong run of form which has seen her be one of the league’s standout young stars.

Last season, Patten was joined by fellow Maryborough teammate Millie Cassidy in the squad, with the team finishing in eighth place in the under 17 Netball Victoria Association Championships.

Her performances soon cata-pulted her into contention for the North Central representative netball team in the 17 and under state titles, one which saw her play a starring role throughout the tournament under the watchful eye of opposition Sandhurst coach this weekend, Tamara Gilchrist.

Patten, and her new 17 and under teammates, will be commencing their tournament run this month, with qualifying for this year’s Netball Victoria Association Championships held on May 26 in Mildura.
