It was Lachlan Oddie’s day on Sunday as he made an unforgettable 101 not out to help guide the Crows to their second win of the weekend.

The Crows won the toss and elected to bat.

Jack Smith was elevated to the top of the order alongside Blake Jantzen as the Crows looked to make some quick runs, but it wasn’t to be for Jantzen, as he hit a Dayne Baker delivery straight into the waiting arms of Johno Melton for their first wicket for just 19 runs.

However, that brought Oddie to the crease, and he immediately set about getting the Crows on their way to a big total.

Alongside Smith, the pair were able to put on 91 for the second wicket, with Oddie in particular taking the ball to all parts of Hedges Oval.

Smith departed for a well-made 30 as Dave Robinson took a well-timed catch at deep square leg.

Shannon Brown came to the crease, with his role to ably support Oddie in his quest to make a big score.

Brown was able to make nine runs as the two put on a 25-run partnership, but was bowled by Baker.

Nothing was going to stop Oddie, however, as he continued to pile on the runs.

Alongside Jay English, the duo put on 23 for the fourth wicket, before English was run out.

With an over left, Oddie still needed a handful of runs to make his 100, and it was worth the wait as he clubbed a ball through deep extra cover for his 11th four, as well as three sixes.

Beaufort finished on 4/172, with Baker Colts’ best bowler, taking 2/28 off his four overs.

With Rhys Wagstaff fresh off his own century the day before, a lot of Colts’ hope rested on his bat, but there was an early blow as Dan Quixley was able to take his wicket, hitting a ball straight to Joe Kingsbury for one.

Soon after, Kane Shepherd was next to go, bowled by Quixley for eight runs.

Robinson and Luke Tatchell were required to put in a shift, but the latter departed for his third consecutive duck when Quixley struck for his third wicket.

Robinson and Baker steadied the ship, with Robinson making 33 and Baker 37.

However, their partnership of 55 was brought undone when Brown ran out Robinson, and Oddie soon had a wicket when he trapped Harrison Kurzke in front for a duck.

Baker departed 13 runs later, with English taking his first wicket of the day, caught by Thomas Grant.

Melton provided some late hitting, making an unbeaten 18, while at the other end, Englishclaimed the wickets of Bayden Macintyre, Riley Govan and Ethan Chaplin as Colts finished on 9/127 off their 20 overs.

English finished with 4/24 off his four overs, while Quixley added 3/22.
