Nineteen-year-old arrested over alleged stabbing at Maryborough’s Princes Park
Maryborough Police have arrested and charged a 19-year-old male following an alleged stabbing at Princes Park on Sunday.

Police are investigating an alleged altercation between two males known to each other at Princes Park on March 29.
It is alleged this altercation resulted in one of the males being stabbed.
A 19-year-old male was arrested shortly after the incident and charged by the Central Goldfields Crime Investigation Unit.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on April 16.
Police said the male who was stabbed has since been released from hospital.
Maryborough Police believe this was an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the community.
“Police understand incidents like this can cause concern, and we want to reassure the community that there is no further risk related to this matter,” local police said on social media.
“There will be an increased police presence in and around Princes Park over the coming days, with officers conducting regular
patrols and engaging with the community to provide reassurance and maintain a visible presence.”
