Maryborough Floor Coverings’ present and future came together last month as the owners call time on a quarter-century legacy.

Long-time owners of Maryborough Floor Coverings Dianne and Darryl Clark joined upcoming owners Leah and Cameron Retallick as they approach a new chapter for the business.

The Retallicks will become the new face on the corner of Tuaggra and Burke streets from February next year.

While they might not be familiar faces locally, they’re no strangers to the flooring industry.

Mr Retallick said he’s spent over two decades in the field.

But beyond the day to day, the Castlemaine couple hope to forge connections and become part of the local community.

That includes continuing Maryborough Floor Coverings as a family business locals are familiar with.

“That’s our big dream for this place — just to continue it on,” Ms Retallick said.

Mr Clark said spending 40 years in the trade has taken its toll on the body.

“It’s great for the young family to continue the business,” he said.

The Clark couple thank the Maryborough and surrounding areas for their loyal support over the years and welcome the Retallicks into the community.
