New development in town
Woodland Estate is Maryborough’s newest housing development on Nelson Street, with diverse subdivisions already attracting strong interest.
There are 26 unique lots throughout the estate ready for immediate sale.
Local real estate agent Kate Ashton said each lot is a largely different price range and size, allowing buyers to personalise their plans of building their home.
“You could build a brand new house on three or four bedrooms, depending on what you want, between five to six hundred thousand total cost,” she said.
Designed to be affordable and conveniently located, Ms Ashton said the estate is configured to benefit many types of buyers throughout the community.
“There is no discrimination whatsoever, it’s about affordability of your own block of land and being able to design your own home with your builders,” she said.
“The location being around three to four minutes from High Street, from education and the sports grounds of Maryborough, is really unique.”
Ms Ashton said there are options for all potential owners from first home buyers to retirees.
“Those upsizing or downsizing, you don’t have to be a certain age to live in this estate. We have been contacted by a lot of builders already with regards to different house and land packages,” she said.
“It’s completely up to the individuals to come here and invest in their own homes or an investment property.”
Each property will be single storey with lots ranging in size from 600 to 1700 square metres.
Ms Ashton said the estate allows locals to have the option of staying in town, or those moving to Maryborough to have affordable land.
“It’s very exciting that people moving to town can say ‘this is an amazing regional centre’, for the affordability of land here, with all of this done, there is a lot you can’t see that has gone into the estate,” she said.
With building expected to be underway in the next few months, Ms Ashton said the estate could expect to house around 80 people in the community.
“It’s fantastic because it also opens up more opportunity for other people to move to our community. The properties are ready to go to contract now, so you can put an offer in, go to contract, and you could start building very soon.”
