New cards for fault process
Central Goldfields Shire is encouraging locals to use their recently released Report-a-Problem cards, allowing residents to connect directly to their fault reporting process.
These cards are supplied to councillors and passed on to residents throughout the community.
The council has previously provided a phone-web reporting system in addition to the Customer Service Centre, which is still available 24/7.
But by using the Report-a-Problem cards, residents can also provide their contact details in cases where they would like to be advised throughout the stages of the reporting process and outcome.
Residents can quickly select from a list of common problems (such as facilities damage, animal control, fallen trees etc.) or describe their unique situation.
They choose their town, specify the location details and can upload images if needed.
Out-of-hours numbers for urgent matters are also provided during the process.
These forms are then received by customer service and directed to the relevant department for attention.
The council has also installed additional QR codes at public amenities.
This is designed to speed up cleaning and repairs at the many toilet blocks across the shire.
People using these facilities can use their phone to scan the QR code on the wall and make a report directly to the facilities and maintenance team’s out of hours contact.
