Natte Bealiba bounced back from their loss to Avoca by recording a strong 23-goal win over Lexton at CHS Broadbent Oval.
The Swans got the jump in the first term and were never headed for the balance of the afternoon, scoring 15 goals to seven to start the day. Emma Ryan scored 11 goals in the first term, while Polly Douglas added four. At the other end, Rachel Phelan scored six goals, and playing-coach Leesa Donhardt one.
The second term was a fairly high-scoring affair, but it was still Natte who assumed control with a 17-12 quarter to lead 32-19 at the main break, with Ryan scoring 13 times, and Douglas four. For Lexton, Phelan scored eight times, and Donhardt four.
The third quarter was more of a defensive affair, with Natte still assuming control, but could only manage 10 goals from 24 shots. Ryan scored all 10 for the Swans, but they still extended their lead by one goal, with Lexton managing nine goals for the quarter through six from Phelan and three from Donhardt.
Natte put it all together for their best quarter of the day in the last term, scoring 19 goals to 10 to eventually blow the margin out to 23 goals. Ryan scored 18 goals to take her tally to 52 for the day, while Shannae Mills added one goal. For Lexton, Phelan added six goals and Donhardt four.
The Swans will now sit out next week with the bye and earn two competition points, while Lexton will look to rebound against Talbot.
