Natte Bealiba kept well and truly in touch with the top two thanks to a convincing 89-point win over rivals Avoca.
The game started with the Swans quickly taking control, kicking five goals to none in the opening quarter to take a 29-point lead.
The Dogs hit back to start the second quarter thanks to a snap from impressive youngster Campbell Blair, but the Swans quickly re-asserted themselves on the contest thereafter, kicking four more goals to increase their lead to 42 points by the long break.
Natte again took control when the action reconvened after the break, as they added four more goals to the Dogs’ one to increase their lead to 62 points at the last change.
A further five goals to one in the final stanza allowed them to take a big win.
The Mortlocks were again in the thick of it all for Natte. Jye was best on ground with three goals, ably supported by Zac, while Kurt was also named in the best players. Playing-coach Trent added three goals. Alongside them, Jordi Cossar, Austin McKenzie and Joshua Grant were also impressive, while Will Holt led all-comers with four goals.
Avoca were well-served by Cody Lubeek, Bryce Howell, Darcy Carey, Daniel Howell, Riley Balnaves and Sean Moyle, while Blair continued his solid run of form with his two goals.
