NATTE BEALIBA 11.15 (81) def TALBOT 3.2 (20)
Natte Bealiba is back on the winners list, defeating Talbot by 61 points at the Pond on Saturday.
The Swans proved far too good for the Hawks for the bulk of the afternoon, restricting the Hawks to just three goals, all of which were scored in the third quarter.
An opening term of two goals to Talbot’s one behind spurred the side on to a four-goal second term with the Hawks remaining on their solitary behind at half time.
The break saw the Hawks fire up and were able to outscore the Swans, with three goals to Natte’s one, but Natte fought hard to rectify this by keeping the Hawks scoreless again in the fourth but missing some opportunities with 4.5 (29) off their boots.
Callum Harte, Brady Templeton, Jordan Fraser, Jacob Long and Tom Roughead were among the best for Natte, with Danny Brewster kicking four goals and now 11 goals off 100.
Adam Scott, Jayson Atkins, Zac Graham, Alex Marshall, youngster Jude McGuire and Trent Barras were the best for Talbot in tough circumstances.
Talbot has a tough game with Maldon up ahead this round while Natte hopes to rectify a round one loss when it meets Navarre for the second time this year.
