DUNOLLY (32) def by NATTE BEALIBA (53)

Natte Bealiba are on top for the time being after defeating Dunolly by 21 goals.

The result was a blow for Dunolly, who will likely have to defeat Maldon in two weeks’ time to secure their berth in the finals.

The Eagles started strongly, scoring the opening four goals of the game, but Natte soon wore them down and hit the front, going on with the job in the first quarter to score 17 goals to eight and lead by nine goals.

The Swans’ scoring spree continued in the second term, scoring 13 goals to eight to open up a 14-goal lead at the main break.

To Dunolly’s credit, they were able to slow down the Swans’ scoring patterns in the third term, restricting them to 10 goals, but they were unable to make them pay at the other end, finishing with four goals for the term as the lead was 20 goals at the final change.

In a reasonably high-scoring final quarter, the Swans scored 13 goals and the Eagles 12.

Emma Ryan continued her dominant season in front of goal, finishing with 41 goals, while Shannae Mills added 12 in her 300th club game.

For Dunolly, Zoe Aldridge scored 19 and Samantha Cheetham 13.
