Natte overpower Maldon by 98 points
An eight goal second quarter from Natte Bealiba has powered the Swans to the top of the MCDFNL ladder, defeating Maldon by 98 points.

It wasn’t all smooth sailing in the opening quarter, as Maldon had their eyes set on goal in the first 25 minutes.
Damian Wust showed why he is the reigning Berry Powell medallist, orchestrating multiple Bombers’ attacks for Ashley Woodman, Bailey Brown and Billy Johns.
However, the Swans still held an 11-point lead at quarter time after outkicking the Bombers by five goals to three in the first quarter.
Natte Bealiba started to flex their muscle in the second quarter, holding the Bombers to one goal while the likes of Will and Nathan Holt were piling on the points.
That led to the Swans heavily increasing their advantage to 55 points by half time, and the half time break didn’t bring any respite for the Bombers.
While Maldon had better luck slowing down the Swans to start the second half, Natte still kicked four goals to one in the third quarter to have the match virtually sealed up at the final break with a 75-point advantage.
The reigning premiers put the finishing touches on their commanding victory with four unanswered goals in the final quarter, as their 98-point victory jumped them ahead of Carisbrook into first on percentage.
Will and Nathan Holt were a dynamic duo on Saturday, named in the best players after kicking five and three goals respectively.
Brad Power, Aaron Hayes, Stephen Ross and Trent Mortlock joined Will and Nathan Holt as the Swans’ best players.
Mortlock also chipped in with four goals of his own, while Jai Howell finished with three goals.
Wust was a clear choice for Maldon’s best player, and he was joined by Billy Johns, Thomas Maxwell, Xavior Noy, Noah Thompson and Callum Buchanan.
Captain Woodman was the Bombers’ leading-goalkicker with two goals.
