Natte Bealiba prepared for a big game against Carisbrook with a win as a younger Swans outfit got to show their wares against a winless Maldon team who never gave up.

The Swans opened up a narrow two-goal lead going into the first break thanks to an 11-goal to nine effort, and were able to extend their lead in the second quarter after scoring 12 goals to seven to establish a seven-goal half time lead.

The Swans scored another 12 goals in the third quarter, while restricting Maldon to eight, to move 11 goals clear at the final change.

The Dons did very well to take it up to the ladder-leaders throughout, and despite outscoring the Swans 12 goals to 11 in the final stanza, had to settle for a seventh consecutive loss to start the season.

Polly Douglas was impressive for the Swans, scoring 33 goals, while Lavinia Martin added 13. For Maldon, Mackenzi Shepherd scored 18 goals, while Zoe Backway added 12.
