Natte Bealiba have maintained their spot in the top two on the ladder with a solid 25-goal victory over Navarre at the Navarre Sports Complex.

The Swans did have to work for their win, but proved to be too strong across the balance of the day in the end, gradually wearing the Hoppers down.

A 15-goal to nine opening term saw the Swans get out to a six-goal lead at the first break. Emma Ryan scored 11 goals and Polly Douglas four for the Swans, while for Navarre, Annabelle Price scored five goals and Sadie Reading four.

It was the second quarter where the Swans made a big move, scoring 17 goals to six to increase their lead to 17 goals at the main break, 32-15. Ryan scored 14 goals and Douglas three for the Swans, while for the Hoppers, Price scored five goals and Reading one.

Natte Bealiba continued to increase their lead in the third term, scoring 13 goals to nine to lead to 21 by the last change, 45-24. Ryan scored 11 goals and Douglas two for the Swans, while Price scored six goals and Reading three for Navarre.

The final quarter was a low-scoring affair, with the Swans scoring eight goals and the Hoppers two to finish off the afternoon. Ryan scored four goals to finish with 40 for the day, while Douglas added four. For Navarre, Price scored two goals to finish with 18 goals, while Brianna Hyslop scored two goals.

The Swans will bank four points in round 13 thanks to the bye, while Navarre, who now sit in 10th, face a must-win clash with Talbot.
