Natte Bealiba claimed an almighty 157-point win over Maldon on Saturday, relegating the Dons into sixth place on the ladder.

With both sides coming in seperated by just four points on the ladder, the performance from the Swans proved to be powerful.

Natte opened at home with a six goal to zero first quarter, setting the tone early.

A massive 10 goals were put up by Natte in the second, while Maldon were able to kick just one goal in response to trail by 96 points at half time.

The second half was a similar story with Natte kicking 13 goals to four goals straight from the visitors in a one-sided affair.

The end result was exactly how Natte wanted to perform off the back of the bye, with best on votes going to Jacob Long, Jayden Templeton, Will Holt, Trent Mortlock, Callum Harte and Jordan Fraser.

Danny Brewster led the goal kicking tally as per usual with a bag of seven, taking his 10-game total to an impressive 82 goals, and closing on a century.

Holt and Trent Mortlock were able to slot four apiece, while Jye Mortlock, Templeton and Darcy Thompson each kicked three, Josh Grant snuck two in and Toby Beavis, Stephen Ross and Emmet Smith all got singles.

Hayden Kelly kicked two of Maldon’s five goals in a best on ground performance, joined on the votes list by David Wilson, Billy Miller, Bryce Coffey, Callum Cross and Matt Gray.

Brett Cole (two goals) and Coffey were the side’s other major scorers.

Maldon has a bye this weekend, having played its round 11 game with Newstead on Good Friday, but will face Carisbrook after their break.

There will be a good indication for the Dons on how they’ll travel against Brook given Natte will host the same side this weekend in a first versus second showdown.
