Carisbrook will attempt to keep their one-day campaign alive, while Colts Phelans will be looking for a win after three successive defeats.

The Brookers got back on track in their last start two weeks ago against Maryborough, reaching a target of 182 with seven balls to spare in a thriller.

Cole Harris had his best outing of the season so far, scoring 54 runs, while Martin Mark and Dean Nalder have continued to be consistent, scoring 58 and 37 respectively.

In terms of their bowling form, James Adam has been their form bowler in the one-day format, leading the way with five wickets, including two against Maryborough two weeks ago, and he is currently equal with Nick Broad at the top of the Brookers’ bowling spread with eight wickets for the season.

Carisbrook have been reasonably consistent in the one-day format, scoring 184 runs in their last two games, but will no doubt be looking for more against a Colts Phelans team who haven’t quite been able to stop a solid flow of runs in their three games.

Colts have conceded just under a run a ball in their three games so far, with their run-rate when fielding ballooning to 5.81.

They haven’t been quite able to find an answer against top-line batsmen so far during the one-day campaign, with three of the top four scorers in the competition — Beaufort’s Lachlan Oddie, Laanecoorie Dunolly’s Luke Smith and Maryborough’s Tom Hart — feasting on Colts, scoring a combined 258 runs against their bowling lineup.

Colts will need Dayne Baker, Dave Robinson and Nick Henderson to be on from the first ball as a result, with the trio proving to be the main strike weapons for the team, combining for 22 wickets.

From a batting perspective, Colts have been decent in the middle, but struggled greatly against Laane two weeks ago, making 6/124 off their 40 overs on a good batting deck.

Rhys Wagstaff and Robinson, their two leading run-scorers, made just seven runs between them, but Luke Tatchell, who has played well in his last two outings, was able to play well, scoring 32 to top-score for a second week in succession.

It was in the corresponding meeting in the T20 competition where Colts kicked into form as they looked for a late bid for a spot in the grand final with a six-wicket victory in round six.

Their bowling lineup was disciplined in restricting Brook to 3/114 off their 20 overs, before Robinson and Rhys Egan played some excellent attacking cricket to help Colts reach their target with four overs to spare.

Egan finished with 39 off just 23 balls, while Robinson scored 33.
