Team Lazaros member Bibby Montague has continued her hot streak in competition, winning a gold and a silver medal last weekend.

Montague travelled to Melbourne to participate in the Grappling Industries event at Parkville.

The event had a round-robin format, with every competitor going through multiple matches per division.

The teenager was fresh off earning three silver medals in May, including one at the Victoria Jiu Jitsu Championships the weekend prior.

Montague first competed in the 14-15 year female gi division, which was decided in a best of three format.

The first match was a hard-fought affair, with neither competitor giving an inch, eventually Montague halted her opponent with a late submission victory to win the first match.

Now only one win away from the gold medal, Montague was aggressive in the second bout, taking the upper hand early and using that advantage to submit her opponent halfway through the match, taking home the top prize.

Montague also earned a silver medal in the 14-15 year female no-gi division, quickly recovering from a submission loss in her first match by getting a submission victory in her second match within 19 seconds.
