MCDFNL Round 10 Football Preview Dunolly vs Trentham
With their premiership defence suffering from a noticeable detour last weekend, Trentham will look to return to winning ways at Deledio Reserve against Dunolly.

Last weekend’s torrential downpour proved symbolic for the Saints, flooded by four unanswered goals in the second quarter that gave Talbot a 24-point advantage at half time their defence expertly secured.
Saturday’s defeat continues a concerning trend for the reigning premiers this season, currently 2-3 against teams that finished in the top eight last season.
Trentham has routinely showcased their destructive power, but coach Mark Adamson would like to see his squad resharpened as they attempt to defend their top four spot from Talbot, Navarre and Maryborough.
The Eagles suffered an equally dampening fate in round nine, restricted to seven points in a 95-point defeat to Carisbrook. Injuries have hampered Dunolly’s progression this season. However, it’s opened opportunities for teenagers Connor Owen-Gale and Harrison Prigg to showcase themselves at the senior level.
Speaking of injuries, Ryan Burt returned from his recent setback versus the Redbacks in the brilliant vein of form he was in before being sidelined, poised for another entertaining ruck battle with Trentham’s Zachary Gervasoni this weekend.
Another intriguing contest will be in the midfield, with Dunolly’s Lachlan Tranter, Lachlan Watson and Joel Fisher looking to contain Trentham’s Joel Cowan, Joel Dovaston and Cody Young.
