Maryborough woman arrested after shooting

The woman from Maryborough was released, pending further enquiries.

A 27-year-old Maryborough woman was arrested in relation to the death of a Box Hill man last Thursday.

Homicide Squad detectives have charged a 47-year-old man with one count of murder.

The charge follows an altercation and alleged shooting at an address on Whitehorse Road on April 9 at about 1.50 am.

A 32-year-old man died at the scene.

A 47-year-old Bonnie Brook man was arrested, along with another 47-year-old man from the same suburb and the Maryborough woman on Thursday evening.

The second Bonnie Brook man and the woman have been released pending further enquiries.

The man charged will appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday, April 17 where detectives will seek his remand.

Police are treating the incident as targeted.
