Maryborough launch inbound for Uber Eats
Uber Eats will launch in Maryborough later this month, in a move that’s part of a major national expansion by the organisation for regional communities.

Following Uber’s regional expansion announcement in April this year, Maryborough was one of 45 ‘mystery towns’ across Australia soon to launch the delivery service, only unveiled recently.
Uber Eats said they hope to assist small businesses in Maryborough by unlocking a new source of revenue, offering more technology to reach more customers at a low cost, and to save time.
They also hope to help local workers and consumers by creating flexible job opportunities where workers can control when and how long they work via an app, balancing family, study and other commitments.
An Uber Eats spokesperson said it was exciting to be launching in Maryborough next month.
“We are excited to bring our technology to support local residents and businesses in the region. With Victoria’s rich culinary scene and community spirit, we look forward to connecting local merchants with more customers and creating new earning opportunities for the community,” they said.
“By the end of 2025, we’ll be reaching even more communities, spanning regional towns and major cities alike. Our expansion is helping support local economies, strengthening community connections and provide Australians with greater convenience and more flexible earning opportunities, no matter where they live.
“Since beginning community engagement in Maryborough, we’ve been thrilled by the positive response from merchants eager to unlock new revenue streams and from local residents interested in flexible earning opportunities through delivering with Uber Eats.”
The recently announced expansion of 67 regional towns across Australia is expected to double the company’s coverage nationwide by the end of the year.
More than 60,000 merchants choose to use the Uber Eats platform in Australia.
Uber Eats will officially launch in Maryborough on Wednesday, August 27.
Businesses who are interested in registering or those interested in becoming drivers with Uber Eats are urged to get in touch with Uber Eats representative for Maryborough Louise Gorham on 0489 909 236 or by emailing lgorha@ext.uber.com.
