Park currently sits four spots ahead of Maryborough on the Ballarat District Soccer Association division one table in fifth with a 5-2-5 record.

They recently snapped a three-game losing streak in round 12 thanks to a 90th-minute winner from Callum Holland, snatching a 4-3 victory against Creswick.

Park and Maryborough have already faced each other this season, with Park demolishing the tie on their way to a 10-2 win.

However, the blue and whites have displayed great improvement since their round two defeat, which culminated in their fantastic result over Daylesford and Hepburn United just under a fortnight ago.

While the ever-reliable Julian Callea scored his 10th goal of the season in the victory, placing him tied for third in the league golden boot, Brett Davey, Riley Gardam, Jake Bucknall and Kynan Carter also got on the scoresheet.

After struggling to find the net throughout the season, Maryborough will be keen to continue their recent scoring run.

The 2024 club best and fairest winner and runner-up, Luke and Jake Bucknall, alongside the precise long passing of Carter, will hope to create chances for Callea and Davey to latch onto with some clinical finishing.

After missing the first clash with Victoria Park earlier in the season, centre back Jack Schaffer will hope to shore up Maryborough’s defence tomorrow alongside Neil Smyth.

Schaffer has impressed this season, not only with his on-ball defending and aerial ability but with his ball distribution.
