Finishing the season as minor premiers, Maryborough hosted Bakers/North/Harcourt at Princes Park in a semi-final encounter.

Oliver Cassidy got the Owls off to a tremendous start, bowling three batters to have the visitors at 3/9.

A strong 54-run partnership between Levi Bruce and Sam McLean steadied the ship for Bakers/North/Harcourt, with Bruce high-scoring with 28.

After they were removed, Keegan Doherty did a great job wiping out the tail, finishing with 4/5 from 4.4 overs and reducing the visitors to 137.

Opener Lachlan Roche got the run chase moving early, but despite the efforts of

himself, Cassidy, Jaxon Carmody and Kaleb Jardine, the Owls fell just short of the target, with Bakers/North/Harcourt winning by 45 runs.

Colts Phelans travelled to Campbells Creek Recreation Reserve to take on Castlemaine United Gold with a spot in the grand final on the line.

After winning the toss, the Colts elected to bat first to try and set a total for Castlemaine United Gold to chase down.

Gabriel O’Sullivan and Charlie Cordy were the difference makers for Castlemaine United Gold with the ball, grabbing three wickets each to bowl the Colts for 49.

Charlie Erickson did a remarkable job fighting against the Castlemaine United Gold bowling attack, top-scoring with 22.

The Colts fought hard to try and defend their total with Tate Williams claiming a wicket for their efforts, but it wasn’t meant to be as Castlemaine United Gold got over the line with nine wickets in hand.
