Man caught four times over limit
A 37-year-old Baringhup-West man has been caught with a blood alcohol reading four times over the legal limit at a random breath test on Monday afternoon.
The man is expected to face court at a later date.
The man was intercepted by Police at 4.45 pm on Sutton Road, Maryborough earlier this week.
Central Goldfields Highway Patrol Unit Commander Sergeant Paul Martin condemned the offence.
“There is no place on our roads for drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” he said.
“We will continue to take every action necessary to detect and remove them in order to keep other road users safe.”
The driver’s vehicle has since been impounded.
He is expected to be charged on summons and attend the Maryborough Magistrates Court at a later date.
