Alex Farrow looks to complete a mark inside 50 for Maldon, but just misses out despite getting some airtime.

Maldon were superior to Avoca at the Avoca Public Park last round to win in what was at times a fiery game in a very comfortable fashion by 72 points.

The Bombers were never really challenged as they dominated from the opening bounce averaging just under five goals a quarter.

The game was basically over at half time when the Bombers led by 50 points.

To the Bulldogs credit, they were more competitive in the second half, but the damage had already been done in the first half.

Damian Wust has been a great pick up for the Bombers this season and again showed why they sought him out as he was again amongst the better players for the Bombers, as was Brodie Leonard-Shannon who slotted a lazy six goals.

Others to play well for the Bombers were Adam Robinson, Alex Farrow, Seb Greene, and youngster Callum Buchanan who was also among the goals, kicking five for the game.

Avoca’s Sean Moyle was named as their best player, and others were Tyson Gray, Campbell Blair, Daniel Howell, Darcy Carey and Riley Hamilton, with Nathan Coghlan the only multiple goal scorer with three goals for the game.
