A consistent performance across the board from Maldon helped them firm for a finals spot, taking a 103-point win over Royal Park.
Maldon had many goalkicking options across the board throughout the afternoon, as evidenced by their 10 different goalkickers, and it was too much for the Royal Park midfield and defence to contain.
The Dons got out to the best start possible when they kicked four goals to three behinds in the first term to open up a 26-point lead at the first change, before really setting up their afternoon by kicking six goals to one to effectively end the contest, leading by 56 points at the main break.
Maldon cruised throughout the rest of the afternoon, kicking three goals to nil in the third term to extend the lead to 73 points, before adding another five goals to one in the last to crack the 100-point barrier, and gain some crucial percentage in their battle for the last spot in the top eight with Dunolly and Talbot.
Jordon Collins was best on ground for Maldon, ably supported by Alex Farrow, Ashley Woodman, Adam Robinson, Patrick Long and Oliver Leonard-Shannon, while Rhys Ford and Brodie Leonard-Shannon kicked three goals apiece.
Royal Park were well-served by Archer Patterson, Declan Wagstaff, Luke Relouw, Rhys Egan, Ben McKay and Ron Smith, with Zayne Earl kicking their only two goals of the afternoon.
