The Redbacks fought a hard first quarter, with Darley proving inaccurate in front of goal to score six behinds, however their five goals was enough to see them in front by 36 points.

This first quarter set the pace for the match that was to come, although it was the second quarter that solidified the result.

In their hunt for an elusive goal, or behind, the Redbacks were beaten at every turn by Darley, who surged in the second quarter to more than double their score, leading 96 points to the Redback’s none at the main break.

The second half was no better for Carisbrook, with Darley continuing its uncontested percentage boost, adding another 40 points to its total in the third and a further 57 points in the final.

The loss marks the Redbacks fourth scoreless loss on the trot, however the side continues to make improvements across the ground.

Redbacks captain Olivia Butler led from the front to be named in the best in the loss, alongside Danae Every, Maddison Smith and Zeanna Cassells.

Having enjoyed the bye over the Easter weekend, the Redbacks will look to dig deep and nail their shots at goal this weekend against a fourth place East Point outfit in Ballarat.
