Locals urged to follow fire restrictions
Local fire brigades were called to a private property on Separation Road, Dunolly at around 5.35 pm on Monday.

Brigades from Bowenvale, Wareek, Dunolly and three Forest Fire Management units attended the blaze for around two hours, caused by the resident’s use of an angle grinder.
The fire is believed to have burnt around a hectare of land.
Dunolly Fire Brigade Captain Greg Humphrey said people aren’t taking note of the current fire restrictions.
“It’s people not taking notice of the restrictions, we are in the fire danger period,” he said.
Police also attended the fire and interviewed the property owner.
While there have been other recent fires between Havelock and Dunolly in the days prior, they are not believed to be linked.
Local police have also urged the community to take into account the regulations in place during fire restrictions, particularly with regards to machine usage.
